Knob Creek Single Barrell

Nearly two decades after Booker Noe, grandson of Jim Beam and sixth-generation distiller, first introduced Knob Creek, the distillery unveils its first-ever single barrel bourbon. It is carefully hand-selected, barrel-by-barrel before being cut with water, consequently, the selection process allows for variations in taste, color and aroma in each batch.

Knob Creek Rye

Unlike the Knob Creek bourbons (which are 9 years old), there’s no age statement with this new rye, which tastes relatively younger. It’s bracing, vibrant, and spicy. (The rye contribution is unmistakable.) Cinnamon spice and crisp mint dominate, with charcoal, botanicals, ginger, nutmeg, honeyed fruit, vanilla, and caramel. Warming spice finish. Its dynamic personality should shine in cocktails, but from a sipping, drinking neat perspective, I wish it was a little older like its siblings

Knob Creek 9 YO

Named after Abraham Lincoln's boyhood home in Kentucky, Knob Creek is arguably bourbon at its finest, often upstaging Bookers (Beam’s intended flagship) in comparative tastings. Created to represent whisky before it was mass produced, Knob Creek embodies the look, feel and taste of pre-prohibition bourbon. Bottled at 50% alc./vol. like all good bourbons were a century ago, Knob Creek is aged nine years in wood, giving it the distinction of being aged the longest of the Small Batch Bourbons. This extra aging allows it to absorb more of the sugar in the wood, giving it a slightly sweeter taste and nose
